The Board of Secondary Education, Telangana came into existence in 2014 as per the Telangana Act of 2014 with its head-quarter at Hyderabad. The Education Board prescribes syllabus, courses of instructions and textbooks for school education in Telangana besides conducting examinations based on the courses listed. At present, the Board conducts examinations for the following classes and courses: 10th, 10+2, D.Ed. and Diploma Courses. Board also publishes text books for class 1st to 12th to cater to the needs of students.
